Hi! My name is Taylor Balleau and I’m a trained technical writer who found her passion within SEO, website design, and catering these skills to my local community. As a freelance digital marketer and SEO contractor based out of Springfield, MO, I have used my 6+ years of corporate work experience to deliver quality, affordable SEO to local businesses in the Ozarks.
I’m originally from St. Louis, MO, and became a Springfield transplant during my time at Missouri State University’s College of Arts & Letters; I found a love for the Ozarks and haven’t left since 2015.
I am a dog lover, pun advocate, house plant whisperer, and thrive on kind, compassionate communication. When I’m not near my laptop, you can find me at my local Pilates studio, gardening or laying by the pool, skipping along a hiking trail with my two dogs, Izzy and Pistachio, or in the clearance section of nearly any store. Oh, and my life partner of 10+ years is also named Taylor.
My SEO Experience
After my 2019 graduation from Missouri State University with a bachelor’s degree in Professional & Technical Writing and a minor in Communication, I jumped into the workforce and began to shape what my passions outside of “words” really were. Catapulted by my 5.5 years in the Marketing Department at O’Reilly Auto Parts, I have grown into a trusted expert of written content in the age of AI by combining my technical writing training, love for sociology and linguistics, and understanding the cause of data/traffic fluctuations. SEO is my happy place.

Began a full-time SEO career at Proper Insurance.

Finished my tenure as lead Copy Editor at The Standard, Missouri State University’s student-led newspaper.
